Costumes, puppets, props, and plenty of imagination await your little one in Drama Play! 🎭

Led by instructor Dwayne Billingsley, this Tuesday class for children ages 3 to 5 uses dramatic play to help children explore themselves and the world around them.

Along the way, they strengthen social skills, understand emotions, and build confidence in a joyful and nurturing space.

Something special is coming to Arts Together this October! 🌺 Join us for a Hawaiian Hula Dance Workshop led by instructor Lisa Leonor Grable.

In this multigenerational workshop, participants will learn choreography to the beloved song Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai (Delightful Plants of the Sea) while exploring hula vocabulary, hand and arm movements, and basic steps. We will begin with affirmations, stretching, and a warm-up before using dance to tell the story of the plants of the sea.

No experience required, and all ages 5 to adults (18+) are welcome. Come barefoot and dressed comfortably, and bring water or a sports drink!

Only 3 days away! The Rainbow Dance Company will be performing at the North Carolina Museum of Art this Saturday, October 3.

Through the expressive language of dance, the Rainbow Dance Company brings Louise Bourgeois's iconic Spiral Woman sculpture to life in a powerful and moving way.

Choreographed by Kathryn Auman, Glenda Mackie, and Rainbow Dance Company dancers, this site-specific performance explores the invisible forces that shape our lives, inviting audiences to see a beloved work of art through an entirely new lens.

Best of all, it is free and open to the public! Performances are at 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

Two drama workshops are starting September 30, and we would love to see your child there!

🎤 Vocal Playground invites kids to discover the power of their voice through fun games, activities, and creative exploration. From learning about famous voices to finding their own, this class is designed to build confidence and connection.

🎭 Take the Stage takes young performers on a journey through all the elements of theatre. Stand-up comedy, musical theatre, mime, Shakespeare, improv, and more! There truly is a place for everyone on this stage.

Both workshops run for 8 weeks starting Wednesday, September 30.

Mark your calendars! 🗓️ The Rainbow Dance Company is coming to the North Carolina Museum of Art on October 3!

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois's Spiral Woman, this site-specific performance is a choreographic meditation on the invisible forces that shape our lives.

Choreographed by Kathryn Auman, Glenda Mackie, and Rainbow Dance Company dancers, the performance invites audiences to experience Bourgeois's iconic sculpture through the expressive language of dance, revealing new dimensions of a work that continues to challenge, comfort, and inspire.

Saturday mornings at Arts Together are full of movement, creativity, and joy!

🎵 Creative Dance and Pre-Jazz for children ages 5 to 7, with instructor Gracyn Wright, is already underway, and there is still time to join! Students develop coordination through dance fundamentals, improvisation, and exploration of different qualities, imagery, emotion, and story.

🎤 Hip Hop Tots and Creative Movement is a fun, energetic class for children ages 3 to 5 where little dancers are introduced to basic hip hop steps and creative movement while grooving to upbeat, age-appropriate music. Led by instructor Austin Kohler, this class is the perfect way to spark a love of dance in your little one while building confidence and creativity along the way.

It is not too late to register for either class. We would love to see your little one on the dance floor this Saturday!
