Happy to be home 💙

After three years of living in an orphanage, these sisters are home! We’re so grateful for their family’s decision to care for them and for the love and support they’ll be surrounded by for the rest of their lives.

Embraced International is proud to work hand in hand with the Honduran Child Protection Services (Secretaría de Niñez, Adolescencia y Familia - SENAF).

As an organization, we see no partnership more beneficial for impacting the lives of vulnerable kids and families than the government entity that directly serves this population. We believe that by working together and strengthening the institution, we will directly serve more kids and families.

We are grateful for the continued working relationship with SENAF and Ada María Mejía Signorelli, the recently appointed minister of children and family services, as we work together to reunify more kids with their safe and loving families.

We are looking forward to all that will continue to come through this ongoing partnership.

Only 1/5 kids living in orphanages are actually orphans and don’t have a family that they could return to.

At Embraced, we’re committed to supporting the biological families of the 80% of kids who live in orphanages with the support they need, so their kids can return home, because we believe that every kid deserves to grow up in a family. 💙

Thank you for making it possible to reconnect this family, empower them, and ultimately help to reunite them again.

We supported Alba and her kids with a permanent home and furnishings, education scholarships for her kids, and a small business start-up that they will run from their home to be financially stable.

Veronica's four kids were thrilled to finally go home and live with their mom, after being in an orphanage for the last five years.

Because of your partnership, we were able to empower Veronica and her kids with a housing solution, essential furniture, educational scholarships, and a small business startup to generate extra income for her family so that they can be together again.

Thank you for joining us to empower and, ultimately, reunify kids with their families.

The school year in Honduras officially began this month, and we are so grateful for your partnership, which has allowed dozens of kids to continue their education while living with their families.

“When you have more than you need, build a longer table, not a higher fence.”

We have the absolute privilege of watching families in Honduras take this philosophy to a new level. So often we see families willing to take in their nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, building a bigger table in their homes, but not always out of a place of abundance, but simply out of a place of love and knowing that we all need a place to call home.

These families inspire us to continue to strive to be people who build bigger tables for more people who need a place to belong.
