What a wonderful day spent with our community! For the third year in a row, TAA members volunteered at the Special Olympics NC Summer Games as part of our TAA Day of Service. Members came together with their teams to support the event, and many brought friends and family to join.

In addition, TAA proudly presented a donation to Special Olympics NC, made possible through funds raised by XCEL’s Happy Hour Headshot fundraiser at the January Membership Dinner Meeting.

We were inspired by the SONC athletes and are grateful for the opportunity to serve together as an association. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the Summer Games such a meaningful and memorable event

They met with state legislators to advocate for policies that protect housing affordability and to address the growing issue of rental application fraud impacting communities statewide.

President Crowley was delighted by a surprise baby shower hosted by the TAA Board and Staff after the May 19 Board meeting. Everyone quickly organized the room while keeping her occupied, and we kept the event a secret for over 30 days, no small feat! The event featured laughs, games, food, and gifts for Baby Crowley and Mom. We're excited for Heather and Matt as they await their new bundle of joy. Congratulations, Madame President!

Save the date for the 2026 TOPS Awards on Thursday, November 19! ⭐

Join us as we celebrate and recognize the multifamily industry’s top performers during this prestigious evening of excellence and achievement.

The night will feature:

🏆 Awards ceremony honoring nominees and recipients
🎶 DJ and dancing

Nominations will be accepted August 11 – October 11 across 23 award categories for both TAA Owner/Operators and Suppliers, including team, individual, and property awards. Start thinking about the outstanding professionals and teams who deserve to be recognized with a TOPS Award nomination!

Ticket sales, table reservations, and sponsorship opportunities will open on August 11. Tickets will be available until sold out or through November 9.
