It's shower day. 🚿

Right now our Hygiene Haven trailer is parked at the Union Gospel Mission in Olympia, and neighbors who've been living outside are getting a hot shower — some for the first time in weeks.

This is what dignity looks like. And it runs on people like you.

Community in motion!

Thank you to Pierce County Skills Center for hosting our rotary meeting today.

We are very proud to be members of Rotary Club of Graham Frederickson Eatonville we have an incredible group

It was awesome seeing our great friend Cathy Torgerson of Knock Knock Angels, Washington State the work this organization does not only touches our hearts, but uplift our communities. Every Thursday, our Hygiene Haven shower trailer is at the Union Gospel Mission in Olympia (9am–1pm), giving unhoused neighbors the chance to get clean, warm, and human again.

It costs us $25 a shower, and it runs on people who care.

Their history is our history, their voices matter, and their contributions continue to shape our communities.

As Columbus Day is also observed, we encourage reflection, understanding, and respect for the different perspectives surrounding our shared history.

💙 BAGS OF HOPE — WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY! 💙

Every Wednesday, Skoolie Foundation’s Bags of Hope helps provide food and essential items to individuals facing food insecurity. But we can’t do it alone — we need our community to help us fill these bags with hope. 🛍️💙

We are currently accepting food donations, fresh fruit, and financial contributions to help us continue serving our community.

🍎 FRESH FRUIT DONATIONS WELCOME!

📣 SKOOLIE FOUNDATION GALA UPDATE — MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone this year’s Skoolie Foundation Gala until 2027.

Several circumstances came together within a very short planning window—from delays with our event space and the additional time needed to thoughtfully develop the cultural elements of the evening, to sponsors needing more lead time and an unexpected loss within our Foundation family.

We could have rushed to make the date work. Instead, we chose to give this event the time, respect, and attention it deserves.

We want our Gala to be more than an event. We want it to be meaningful, culturally respectful, impactful, and something our community, partners, sponsors, and supporters are proud to be part of.

But we want to make one thing very clear:

The Gala is postponed. The mission is not. ❤️

Skoolie Foundation is still here. We are active. We are serving. We are growing. And we are moving forward.

There is a lot happening:

🎄 Letters to Santa & Phone Calls to the North Pole — announcements coming very soon!

💜 Women’s Empowerment Center — we’re moving closer to completing the floor and entering the next stage of this important space.

☕ Annual Skoolie Foundation Breakfast — February 2027 — details coming soon!

🌎 Skoolie Foundation Gala — returning in 2027 with more time to build the partnerships, cultural programming, sponsorships, and experience we originally envisioned.

Sometimes moving forward means recognizing that something deserves more time instead of simply pushing forward to meet a date.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in this mission, volunteer beside us, donate, partner with us, and trust us to serve our neighbors with dignity.

We’re not going anywhere. In fact, we’re just getting started.

Come visit our command unit today

We are supporting our Bethel families ABC days. We will be at Bethel Brand New high school you will find the foundation and our small team in our command unit discussing resources with our community.

This is the biggest event of the year for this area. Must see if you haven’t been before truly an inspiration I appreciate the Bethel community team, staff, teachers, and volunteers for putting this together.
