There is currently a quarantine in place in parts of Texas due to the new world screw worm, Florida currently has enacted a ban on rescue pets from Texas and New Mexico. While Gigi is located outside of an infestation area, we did ask the vet to test her -unfortunately they don’t have the capability to do that test 🧐🤨. There are certain flea/tick meds that kill the larvae and fly. I have attached photos below with more information. 🙏🙏🙏 let’s get this contained! (Please note most shelters do not use flea/tick preventative that kill screw worm larvae)

Sweet 5 month old Gigi was living on the Houston streets alone and scared until she ended up at the Houston shelter however she found her self scheduled for euthanasia, thankfully several wonderful volunteers offered to foster and save her life 💙🩷💜 and she was tagged by our rescue, if you would like to help sponsor with her costs, please find the donate link below.
