Pueblo said summer is HERE… whether we were ready or not. ☀️💦🥵

With these temperatures the last few days, there was only one logical solution… a Splash Party!

Some of us fully embraced the water. Others… well… their facial expressions might say otherwise. 😂

Either way, we’re kicking off the summer the best way we know how — making memories, staying cool, and having a whole lot of fun together.

🏆 Returning Champions Alert! 🏆

Some familiar faces are making their way back to the Dancing with the Pueblo Starz stage... and they're bringing a championship pedigree with them.

⭐ Krystle Herrera & Kevin Cano ⭐

Ten years after taking home the title in 2016, this brother-and-sister duo is returning to the competition with one goal in mind: proving they still have what it takes.

Born and raised in Pueblo, Krystle and Kevin have spent years sharing their passion for dance, fitness, and performance throughout our community. From cheerleading and dance training to years of teaching Zumba and lighting up stages across Pueblo, entertaining a crowd is nothing new for these two.

This year, Krystle will proudly represent the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce as they step back onto the dance floor in support of Pueblo Diversified Industries and the individuals we serve.

Will the former champions reclaim the crown? 👀

We are grateful for community partners like SunWest who invest in making Pueblo a stronger, more connected place for everyone. It was a great day of networking, friendly competition, and celebrating the partnerships that help our community thrive.

The next team stepping onto the dance floor for Dancing with the Pueblo Starz 2026 is a duo that knows a thing or two about serving the community they love.

⭐ Crystal Estrada & Kylee DeHerrera ⭐

Through their work at the Pueblo Convention Center, Crystal and Kylee help bring people together, support local businesses, and create experiences that make Pueblo stronger. But their commitment to this community extends far beyond their careers.

Crystal has spent years serving Pueblo through leadership, volunteerism, and board service with numerous organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Her passion for giving back and supporting local causes has made a lasting impact throughout Pueblo.

For Kylee, this event is deeply personal. Growing up alongside her younger brother, who has a rare form of cerebral palsy, she learned firsthand the importance of inclusion, opportunity, compassion, and celebrating every person's unique abilities. His resilience and determination continue to inspire her every day.

Together, Crystal and Kylee are bringing their passion for community, their love for Pueblo, and their competitive spirit to the Dancing with the Pueblo Starz stage. They're dancing to help create opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities and to support the mission that makes PDI such an important part of our community.

Our next couple for Dancing with the Pueblo Starz 2026 proves that sometimes the best partnerships begin on the dance floor.

⭐ Chris & Lennea ⭐

For Chris and Lennea, music, dance, and service have always been at the center of their story. As a married couple, they've spent years dancing through life's biggest moments together, and now they're bringing that same energy back to the Dancing with the Pueblo Starz stage.

Their impact on our community is hard to measure. Chris has dedicated 35 years to emergency medical services, while Lennea has spent nearly 30 years serving students through school nutrition programs. Together, they've also helped support the arts across Southern Colorado through their business, C & L Backline, making live music possible for countless events and performances.

Their commitment to giving back extends into their church, local nonprofits, community events, and efforts to preserve Pueblo's rich history. Through it all, they've remained passionate about serving others and strengthening the community they love.

Now, they're stepping onto the dance floor to support PDI and the opportunities we create for individuals with diverse abilities throughout our community.

Join the PDI Team and Help Families Build Brighter Futures!

Pueblo Diversified Industries is excited to announce an opening for a Part-Time H.O.P.E. Coordinator.

H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Partners Engage) is a program that was created to help families of youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities begin planning early for a successful transition into adulthood. Through education, resources, community connections, and family engagement, H.O.P.E. empowers families to create a roadmap for the future long before important decisions need to be made.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting families, building relationships, and strengthening connections within our community. Lived experience as a parent, caregiver, or advocate is highly valued, as this role will help families feel supported, informed, and connected throughout their journey.

This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with diversabilities and the families who support them.

Cassidy may have started her journey in Westminster, but since moving to Pueblo in 2022, she's embraced this community as home. As Branch Manager of Bank of the San Juans and a busy mom of three, she's ready to trade banking for ballroom and step well outside her comfort zone for a great cause.

Joining her is Pueblo native Dylan, whose roots run deep in our community. After spending the last decade in the automotive industry, he proudly represents Pueblo Toyota and brings what he describes as his "Senate and La Favorita dance experience" to this year's competition. 😎

Together, they're ready to take on the challenge, have some fun, and help make a difference for the individuals and families served by PDI.
