The Back to School Celebration of RI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999.

📚 Missed the Back to School Celebration?

If you were unable to attend one of our 27th Annual Back to School Celebration sites, there may still be backpacks and school supplies available.

Families can contact 211 Rhode Island to learn about available backpacks. Supplies are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who helped make this year's celebration a success and support thousands of Rhode Island students as they prepare for a great school year!

📚🎒 A huge thank you to WPRI 12 for helping us shine a spotlight on the 27th Annual Back to School Celebration !

We are grateful for WPRI 12’s partnership and coverage of this incredible community effort to ensure Rhode Island students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

The smiles, excitement, and pure joy of children receiving new backpacks and school supplies remind us why this work matters. Seeing students light up as they choose their supplies and get ready for a successful school year is what drives our volunteers, sponsors, community partners, and supporters year after year.
