This past weekend, the brothers of the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. traveled to Atlantic City, NJ to take part in the 94th Eastern Regional Convention. The convention featured valuable workshops that encouraged leadership, promoted financial and career literacy, and built connections between brothers. We look forward to carrying out the lessons learned at the convention to further our communities at home.

On Thursday, April 9th, Johnson and Wales University chartered their own National Pan-Hellenic Council. Alpha Gamma Chapter’s Tyndil Dyer was a key part in the chartering of this council, and will serve as the Treasurer on the executive board. He looks forward to carrying out our mission of service and leadership on Johnson and Wales’s Campus and working with the Divine 9 to better our community.

Stroll Like an Alpha has officially been moved to the University of Rhode Island. Join the Zeta and Alpha Gamma Chapters on April 24 at 8:06 PM in Edwards Auditorium, three teams have been working the past month to bring you a night you won’t forget!

Admission is $5, or $3 with a canned good.

The time has officially arrived. Join the Zeta and Alpha Gamma Chapters for our first annual Stroll Like an Alpha Competition. Three teams have been putting in the work all month, and now it is time for them to take the floor and compete.

The event will be held on April 4 at 8:30 PM in Room 120 of the List Art Center at Brown University. Admission is $5, or $3 with a canned good donation.

Yesterday, the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosted an event with Period Equity @ Brown and B-Team where we discussed menstruation and tried out a period simulator. In accordance with our national program, Project Alpha, the goal of the event was to provide education to non-menstruators about how to support menstruators and to debunk common myths about menstruation. Thank you to the over 50 people in attendance last night, and Period Equity @ Brown and B-Team!
