The men of Alpha Gamma have been putting in amazing work for our community these last couple of weeks!!

Brothers volunteered at the community give-back day in Providence at the Southside Cultural Center of Rhode Island, where we had the privilege of distributing free food as a part of a bigger goal of sharing health resources with the providence community.

Special thanks to Karyn and Charles, the founders and organizers of powerhousehealthtourusa.

As well, this semester Brothers have volunteered with multiple programs in the Providence community. Brothers volunteer weekly with Brown University’s Crossroads, providing mentorship and exemplifying fraternity to children and young adults through games, arts & crafts, and educational activities. On weekends, brothers assist the Women’s Refugee Care Center in packaging and distributing food to members of the community.

Last week, the brothers of Alpha Gamma collaborated with JWU’s Black Women of Distinction to host On One Accord.

This event centered on fostering meaningful conversations around relationships between Black men and women and how we can better understand, communicate with, and support one another.

We would like to thank the Black Women of Distinction for collaborating with us to make this event possible, as well as everyone who attended, shared their perspectives, and participated in the conversation.

We appreciate you all for helping make On One Accord a great event! 🖤💛

The Alpha Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. kicked off the semester by getting out on campus and connecting with the community!

Through various tabling events, we had the opportunity to showcase our chapter, introduce students to the legacy and mission of our organization, and share the exciting events, programs, and community service initiatives we have planned for the semester.

Most importantly, we enjoyed meeting new faces, welcoming students to campus, and building connections with members of our community. This is only the beginning! We’re looking forward to a semester filled with brotherhood, service, leadership, and impact.
