McAuley Ministries provides food, shelter, and clothing to people in need, in an atmosphere of compassion and respect. The pre-school is a Head Start provider.

McAuley Ministries is an independent non-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, whose work is rooted in the ideals of their founder, Catherine McAuley. McAuley Ministries includes McAuley House, a meal site and house of hospitality for the hungry or homeless; McAuley Village, a transitional housing program for homeless single-parent families; and The Warde-robe, a volunteer-supported thrift store offering quality used clothing and household goods to those in need. McAuley Village has an on-site, licensed child care center for infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children.

The students of Our Lady of Mercy School recently celebrated Spirit Week by dressing down and donating to McAuley Ministries! 🎉 Their festive efforts raised over $300 for our guests and we are so grateful.

This past weekend, United Way of RI celebrated 100 years of service at WaterFire & we were lucky enough to attend as part of their Non-Profit Village! 🔥💙 It was a wonderful evening of sharing about our mission, enjoying good food, music & conversation, and staying warm by the glow of the WaterFire lighting. Thank you, United Way, for all that you do & we look forward to another 100 years!

A hundred years of United Way of Rhode Island, and today's the day the whole state turns out for it.

McAuley Ministries is in the Nonprofit Village at the Grand Centennial Celebration from 4 p.m. Come say hi, learn about what we do, and stay for the torch procession and the lighting.

At McAuley Ministries, we treat everyone with dignity and respect. We value their individuality and offer them support without judgement. We welcome them with love and mercy. That's what we'll be talking about on October 17.

United Way of Rhode Island turns 100 this year, and they're marking it by filling downtown Providence with the people who do this work every day. Nonprofits, volunteers, and families, together for one night.

Our team is wearing purple today to show support for survivors of domestic violence, and a reminder that no one has to face abuse alone.

In honor of National Dessert Day, we’re celebrating one of our kitchen’s favorite desserts to serve our guests — Neapolitan Cake! 🍰

At McAuley House, a meal is about so much more than food. It’s about creating a welcoming place where everyone who walks through our doors is treated with hospitality, dignity, and care. And sometimes, a little something sweet is the perfect way to brighten someone’s day!

A special thank you to our incredible kitchen team and volunteers who put so much heart into every meal they prepare and serve. 💙
