The Poway Arts and Crafts Guild was honored to be included in the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Thirty-four organizations, with about 800 volunteers, gathered at Old Poway Park for a delicious barbecue provided by The Hamburger Factory.

"MEET THE MAKER MONDAY" Hi everyone, Martha Simpson here.
Sew, sew, sew, sew, sew. That's all I ever do, and I enjoy doing it too. My craft, my passion, my therapy. I'm now what you would call a sew-ciopath. I didn't discover sewing until 6 years ago when I was stuck working from home due to the COVID pandemic, and, wouldn't you know it, I started out sewing and sold COVID masks. Since then, I've expanded my venture to a variety of simple, uncomplicated projects, combining complementary fabric patterns to create designs that mostly require nothing but a straight-line stitch. Bowl cozies, pet bandanas, tote bags, pillow covers- just to name a few. Hmmmm, I'm wondering what my next straight-stitch project will be. Got any ideas?

Tomorrow is going to be a gorgeous day at Old Poway Park, and we would love for you to join the fun! The Poway Arts and Crafts Guild Market will be set up on the boardwalk around the Hamburger Factory. We are contemporary craft artists working in traditional crafts. Each artist uses raw materials to handcraft unique products, and we enjoy discussing our creative process with visitors.

"Meet the Maker Monday!"
The Poway Arts and Crafts Guild is excited to introduce you to our wonderful guest artisan, Sylvia! She creates delightful one-of-a-kind dimensional greeting cards. Sylvia discovered her love for card-making five years ago when she joined a fun card-making group, and she finds joy in using all the beautiful embellishments to make each card special and unique.

The Poway Arts and Crafts Guild is proud to be a part of the Poway community. Join us and your neighbors for an Old-Fashioned 4th of July celebration! Our Artisan Market will be set up in the parking lot and around the boardwalk. The City of Poway will offer free children's crafts, train displays, and traditional games. Enjoy delicious treats and train rides throughout the day!
