Food Distribution for the Homeless by UTSHOB Charity Foundation
Today, June 28, 2025, on behalf of UTSHOB, we served lunch to the homeless individuals residing around the Neil Daycare Center in San Diego. San Diego is the ninth most expensive city in the United States, with at least 35% of the population lacking stable housing.
Despite their hardships, they patiently stood in line to receive food. Many among them even carried meals for those who were unable to move on their own. They did not forget to express their gratitude.
It is clear that their overall situation is the result of severe economic distress. Today, we served meals for 100 individuals. Next year, we must aim to double that number. Their plight truly touches the conscience of many of us.
We extend our sincere thanks to the supporters and patrons of UTSHOB Charity Foundation for making this humanitarian initiative possible.
We were joined today by Dr. Prabir Pal, Dr. Rajat Shubhra Roy, Dr. Sajib Saha, Dr. Arun Kundu, Mr. Asish Bhattacharjee, and Mr. Neel Saha (son of Dr. Sajib Saha).
উৎসব সেবা সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে বাস্তুহারাদের জন্য খাবার পরিবেশন॥
আজ ২৮ শে জুন,২০২৫ সাল আমরা উৎসবের পক্ষ থেকে স্যান ডিয়াগোর নীল ডে-কেয়ার সেন্টারের আশে পাশে যে বাস্তুহারারা থাকেন তাঁদের দুপুরের খাবার পরিবেশন করলাম । আমেরিকার স্যান ডিয়াগো নবম ব্যয়বহুল শহর। কমপক্ষে ৩৫% লোকের বাসস্থান নাই । এরা কিন্তু খুব ভদ্র ভাবে লাইনে দাঁড়িয়ে খাবার নিলো, আবার এঁদের মধ্যে যাঁরা চলাফেরা করতে পারেন না তাঁদের জন্য খাবার এঁরা নিয়ে গেলো। ধন্যবাদ দিতে ভুলেন নি। মোটকথা সার্বিক অবস্থা এদের অর্থনৈতিক দুরবস্থার জন্য দায়ী। আমরা মোট ১০০ জনের জন্য খাবার পরিবেশন করি। সামনের বছর এটাকে দ্বিগুণ করতে হবে। ওঁদের দুরাবস্থা আমাদের অনেকের ভিত্তিতে নাড়া দেয়।
উৎসব সেবা সংস্থার জনকল্যাণ মূলক কাজের সহযোগী ও পৃষ্ঠপোষকদের বিনীত ধন্যবাদ ।
আমাদের সাথে আজ ছিলেন ডাঃ প্রবীর পাল, ডঃ রজত শুভ্র রায়, ডাঃ সজীব সাহা , ডঃ অরুণ কুন্ড, মিঃ আশীষ ভট্টাচার্য্য, মিঃ নীল সাহা ( ডাঃ সজীবের ছেলে)।
