It all came down to one game.
In a true winner-take-all Game 3, the Orioles captured the 2026 Poway American Little League Majors Championship with a thrilling 1-0 victory over the White Sox in a game that showcased everything championship baseball is about.
Pitching and defense ruled the day from the very first pitch. 12U All-Star Chase Ullman was simply outstanding for the Orioles, tossing a complete-game shutout on just 66 pitches. Every inning brought pressure, and Ullman answered every challenge to keep the White Sox off the scoreboard.
The White Sox were equally impressive behind Kamana Kauhane, who limited the Orioles to just one run on four hits. Kauhane battled all game long, giving his team every opportunity to come away with the title.
The game’s lone run came courtesy of a clutch Ryan Waldren double, proving to be the difference in an incredibly tight championship contest.
Defense was the story throughout the evening. The Orioles shut down multiple White Sox threats by throwing out runners attempting to steal second base, while Tyler Tucker and Mason Fenwick delivered outstanding defensive plays in the final two innings to preserve the lead and secure the championship.
The White Sox were spectacular in the field as well, recording nine outs on defense and making play after play to keep the game within reach until the final out.
Two great teams. One unforgettable championship game.
Congratulations to the Orioles on an incredible championship run, and congratulations to the White Sox on a tremendous season and hard-fought series.
This one had everything—great pitching, clutch defense, timely hitting, and the intensity that makes championship baseball so special. ⚾🔥🏆
