Building Safe Online Habits for Children and Teens with Disabilities

This informative workshop will help parents and caregivers:
✅ Understand common online risks, including scams and cyberbullying
✅ Learn strategies for teaching digital boundaries
✅ Recognize warning signs of unsafe online interactions
✅ Support safe social media and internet use
✅ Build online safety skills tailored to a child’s developmental and communication needs

As children spend more time online for school, socializing, and entertainment, families need practical tools to help them navigate the digital world safely and confidently.

American Sign Language interpreters are available upon request through the registration form by June *10th.

Smooth Transitions: Preparing Students with Disabilities for Summer

This workshop will help parents and caregivers:
✅ Maintain routines during summer break
✅ Support social-emotional well-being
✅ Create structure while allowing time for rest and fun
✅ Learn about local programs and community resources
✅ Prevent regression of academic and executive functioning skills
✅ Ease transitions into new schedules and activities

At this workshop, participants will learn:
- Regulations surrounding short term and long term suspension
- Parent rights to request a conference, receive a fair trial, and review the suspension decision
- NYS laws and policies that protect your child’s access to education and services in the event of suspension
- Your child’s rights if an incident was caused by a manifestation of their disability or result of an IEP not being implemented

You can choose to attend one or more of the following sessions.

Tuesday, December 23rd, TRI staff will be working from home from 1PM-5PM. There will be no walk-ins after 1pm.

For the holidays, TRI will be closed for the following dates:
