We are thrilled to announce Megan Spaccarelli to our Board of Directors! With a background in counseling, educational leadership, and business management, Megan brings a diverse range of experience and a passion for community engagement to the CPCA Board.

As a devoted mother of three beautiful daughters, she is passionate about supporting the children and families served by CPCA and helping ensure they have the resources and opportunities to thrive. As the co-founder and host of the annual Paws & Pours for Prevention fundraising event, she gained first hand insight into CPCA’s impact and was inspired to deepen her involvement, leading to her joining the Board in January.

🎓Celebrating an incredible milestone! This week, 24 parents graduated from CPCA’s Supportive Parenting Program, and we couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished.

Through guidance, education, encouragement, and peer support, parents were able to gain the tools they need to strengthen their families and help their children thrive. Your perseverance, commitment, and love for your children inspire us every day. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement! We can’t wait to see all that comes next!☀️🏅🧸

The CPCA was proud to table at the Peace & Harmony Invitational Tournament, connecting with families, sharing resources, and spreading awareness about child abuse prevention and child safety.🎉

Every conversation is an opportunity to educate, empower, and remind our community that protecting children is a responsibility we all share. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about our programs and the work we do throughout the Hudson Valley!

🏳️‍🌈Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate kindness, acceptance, and the freedom to be yourself.❣️

For many parents and caregivers, children may have questions about Pride, LGBTQ+ identities, or the rainbow flags they see throughout the month. When children feel safe asking questions, they learn empathy, respect, and the value of treating everyone with dignity. We don’t need to have all the answers, we simply need to create space for understanding and belonging.🌟

Our Community Education Program recently had the opportunity to provide child safety training to the incredible staff at Ulster YMCA Camp!☀️

By equipping camp staff with the knowledge and tools to recognize concerns, respond appropriately, and create safe environments, we are working together to help keep children safe, supported, and empowered all summer long.
