These are the young artists behind the latest mural at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum! 🤩

Teens from the Media/Art/Design Lab (MADLab) spent their May Intensive carefully crafting each detail to put a spotlight on some of the wildlife that inhabits the Hudson River ecosystem. Highlighting the river as an estuary, youth artists composed the wild/plant-life in a gradient of freshwater species to brackish water species.

Some MADLab artists were excited to be back in a space they haven't visited since they were children and others were excited to see the museum for the first time! The group stated they're glad to know the museum is in their community, highlighting the importance of access to STEM related activities.

Thank you to Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum staff for the opportunity! Be sure to stop by the museum to see the mural up close and experience this inspiring new addition for yourself. 🎨

Because of your generosity, we SURPASSED our $30K goal and raised a grand total of $36,506 towards scholarships!

Every donation, every shared post, and every other act of support helped make this achievement possible. Together, we demonstrated the power of community and a shared belief that every young person deserves access to creative opportunities and a place where their voice matters.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave, shared our message, encouraged friends and family to participate, or cheered us on throughout the campaign. This accomplishment truly belongs to all of us! THANK YOU!
