Yesterday was powerful. 💙🌱
We proudly dedicated our Annual Pinwheel Garden in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month—a visual reminder that every child deserves a safe, healthy, and hopeful future.
Each pinwheel represents a child… a life, a story, and a reminder of why prevention matters. Together, they stand as a symbol of hope, resilience, and our shared responsibility to protect and uplift our youth.
Special thank you to Councilman Vernon Tillage for serving as this year’s keynote speaker, and to Mayor Shannon Glover for officially dedicating this year’s garden.
We were also honored to have Congressman Bobby Scott in attendance, along with a host of local leaders, including members of City Council, Portsmouth School Board members, and Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Morales. Your presence underscores the collective commitment to protecting our children and strengthening our families.
This work doesn’t stop here.
You can still be a part of the mission of the Friends of the Portsmouth Juvenile Court by giving your time, talent, and treasure to support the children and families we serve.
