Misophonia Association

Misophonia Association Please help us by liking our page and coming to our annual convention.

Established in 2013, the Misophonia Association’s mission is to empower the misophonia community with education, advocacy, research, and support, with the long-term goal of finding a cure. We are here to help those who suffer from misophonia, their families, and medical providers, to recognize, support, and spread the word about the condition, to spark research, to gather force to make things happen for everyone.

What if managing misophonia isn’t about controlling the trigger, but changing your relationship with your response? 🧠✨

In his prepared presentation, Dr. Ezra Cowan breaks down the EASE Model (External Acceptance and Self-Engagement)—a fresh approach to building awareness, understanding misophonia subtypes, and incorporating somatic & IFS tools.

September 13 is our third global focus on Misophonia event which is a free 90 minute session that everyone can join and attend and also participate in. So far, we had individuals and clinicians from different countries such as Turkey, Iran, India, Japan, South Africa, Australia, and others. We are very interested to tie together people around the world who suffer from Misophonia. It’s nice to have some PowerPoint or slides or photographs to show during the presentation but not absolutely necessary. We’re interested to see what your experience is like in your location and your access to any services or support groups or what you have found that’s helpful.

We would love love love to hear from you. We’re looking for 3 to 4 individuals who want to present. Please email us right away at [email protected].

We will provide more guidance and ideas if you contact us. Each presentation is 10 minutes or so up to about 15 minutes if we only have three presenters.

Don’t be shy and let us hear from you. You can be anywhere on earth. And this is a photo of my native northwest nature area here in Oregon in the United States.
