“My parents are preparing to sell their home, which means removing all of the furniture. Community Warehouse was able to come to the house, pick up all the furniture, and did so with kindness and compassion. What a great service and great way to help others. So often the only option is to sell or dump an item, but they were able to take it and help others with it. Very happy we found them!” -Community Warehouse furniture donor

When Ange received her first apartment, it provided a safe space—but an empty space is not a home. After visiting Community Warehouse through a referral from her case manager, she was able to pick out the things she needed to make her house a home: a sofa, bed, linens, pots and pans, and more. Thirteen years later, Ange still uses her pink bucket from Community Warehouse, a reminder of the strength it took to get to where she is today, that it’s okay to ask for help, and that people are out there to lend a hand.

As part of our Children’s Chair program this year, we had fifty chairs that artists generously volunteered their time and talent to transform into whimsical, functional works of art. ALL FIFTY chairs were sponsored this year, raising more than $25,000 to support our furniture bank!

After our Chair Affair fundraiser, the chairs returned to our furniture banks to be hand-selected by local kiddos. Here are some of the happy youngsters going home with a special chair of their own!
