Yesterday was a beautiful day of community.

Feed the Mass was proud to be part of Jeff’s Shoe Challenge at Parkrose High School, helping hand out meals and support a day dedicated to showing up for our young people.

For over a decade, Jeff’s Shoe Challenge has brought the community together to make sure students head back to school feeling prepared, confident, and supported. We were honored to contribute through food and fellowship.

This is what community looks like. Neighbors showing up for neighbors, sharing what we have, and making sure everyone has a seat at the table.

Thank you to Jeff and everyone who made this special day possible. We’re grateful to be part of it.

For too many residents and community members, access to fresh, healthy food isn’t always easy. Nourish Market is coming soon to help change that.

A neighborhood market built around access, nourishment, and community. We’re excited to bring healthy food closer to home and create a space where everyone has an opportunity to shop, eat, and thrive.

We’re proud of the incredible work we were able to do at the Oasis Day Center.

We loved partnering with the City of Portland and the Oasis Day Center, bringing together an amazing group of chefs to share their food, stories, and passion with the community.

A huge shoutout to Chef Fatou from Akadi, Tyler from Yaowarat, Erik from Urban Farmer, and David from Los Punales for being part of this special series.

Fall is here, and the Feed the Mass Culinary Academy is officially LIVE!

Our new fall classes are now open for registration, with opportunities to learn, cook, create, and build your culinary skills in the Nourish kitchen.

From hands-on cooking techniques to exploring new flavors and cuisines, there’s something for everyone. This video gives you a taste of what’s coming this fall.

Today marks the final class of our Summer Cooking Program, and what a fun ride it has been!

Over the past few months, our students traveled across several continents through food, exploring new cultures, learning new techniques, building confidence in the kitchen, and of course, having a whole lot of fun along the way.

Here are a few images from last week’s class, when we visited Japan! The students made Chicken Katsu and Ramen noodles completely from scratch. Watching them learn, create, and discover new foods has been such a joy.

We’re so proud of everything they accomplished this summer and can’t wait to see where their culinary adventures take them next.

We’re still beaming from Saturday’s Block Party!

A huge shoutout to our community for showing up and showing out. The energy, love, food, music, and good vibes made the day one we won’t forget.

And every ticket sold helped support our Feed the Kids Initiative, helping us continue our work to make sure children have access to nutritious meals.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, volunteered, partnered with us, and helped make this day possible. This is what community looks like, and we’re so grateful to be part of it.
