🔵🟡 New Member, Dr. Mark Haggenjos, gave his classification speech this past week! It was wonderful to learn more about you and the tips you provided!

🩺Pick good parents—good genetics matter.
🩻Stay physically fit. Stay away from bad stuff as much as you can—smoking, alcohol, fast food and processed foods.
🥼Medication —have to vs want to. Try to keep medication down to 5 or less
🩺Social context-learn how to accept help, interact with others.

On Wednesday we heard from Mindy Weaver, Treasurer, for the Jay County Humane Society!!

🐶Humane Society started in the 1970’s
🐱Fall 2023 moved into new building
🐶There are 41 dog kennels-15 inside wall, 2 in take, 2 medical, 22 inside/outside
🐱30 cats on site right now, 38 dogs on site
🐶Got quickbooks recently which helps streamline a lot of paperwork
🐱A lot of volunteers but can always use mor😊—walk the dogs, interact with the cats and dogs, laundry, etc.
🐶If you’ve not been to the new place go and check it out; and you may just find your next lovable pet!!
