We are always looking for people to help with the following tasks: Preparing food, cleaning, picking up food from donation sites, transporting meals by bike and trailer and getting the word out on social media. We always need help in our kitchens and appreciate all skill levels. Getting started with volunteering is easy! No prior experience necessary. Many hands make light work! We encourage community as opposed to handouts for those that can. We request those that partake to bring their own container and utensil, sometimes we have extras, but we want to avoid doing more dishes. It’s best to bring a bowl as we often serve soup or something with a secure lid so you can take cooked food home with you. We do all pick-ups/deliveries of donated & liberated food, as well as our prepared meal, by bicycle (or other modes of human-powered transport).

Hi all, Amit here, long time volunteer with FNB. We don't really post here much, but FYI the information is being updated.
Personally, I haven't been involved in the serving efforts, but I do appreciate the people who collect and prepare food for our servings!
So what have I been doing? I've been collecting food and distributing it to free pantries twice a week. I also organize a monthly bike ride to restock many of the free pantries and free fridges in inner-SE, with food donated from Groceries4Grout and private donations.
I've been using a cargo e-bike and a regular road bike and two large trailers to do all this. I also use these bikes to get around and for my own photography/videography business but sadly that business hasn't been generating a lot of money lately.
So, knowing all of this, if you'd like to support the maintenance of the bikes and trailers mentioned, feel free to Venmo -zinman.
That money would go towards the upcoming maintenance and tune-up for my e-bike and to buy a new ebike battery charger as the one I've been using has died, plus future needs such as replacing trailer tires and anything else that might come up.
Thanks for your consideration!

Hi y'all. We're now dropping off produce on Fridays 11am at the free fridge on SE29th and Gladstone (behind C-Bar) The produce is donated by New Seasons Seven Corners Thank you, New Seasons!
We could use some cleanup help on Thursday nights or Fridays before 10:30am to wipe the fridge and shelves, and clear out the trash can.
Thanks!
