We’re thrilled to announce that Jenny Yang is coming to the Tomorrow Theater this January! Named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch and New York Magazine’s Vulture Comedians You Should Know, comedian Jenny Yang tours her unique blend of personal storytelling and social commentary through her standup comedy and hit monthly stage show SELF HELP ME, a competitive self-care comedy show. She has been featured at Just For Laughs Montreal, headlined at San Francisco Sketchfest, and has shared the stage with such legendary comedians as Maria Bamford and Margaret Cho.

MEMORY AS A ROCK OUT OF REACH is a duet performance in which Erika M. Anderson (EMA) and visual artist Tabitha Nikolai use video game technologies to build out the psycho-sexual inner world of a girl-child in the ’80s. Soundtracked by modular synth and guitar, a narrator searches for her shape amid commercial detritus, degraded 3D scans, and a Polly Pocket apocalypse.

This screening is part of our PLUS PLUS Festival of Tomorrow Nov 19–22.

Join us for a very special Portland premiere of director Chad Brown’s new documentary UNSEEN: INVISIBLE WOUNDS, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT. Taking place the week of Veterans Day, this film follows five veterans as they bike through two hundred miles of raw, unforgiving wilderness on a trail that asks everything of you and gives back something no clinic or desk job ever could.

Following the film, director Chad Brown will be joined on stage for a Q&A about the film.
