It was great to see fellow cat lovers, Stephanie and DeeDee yesterday. Stephanie recently took in 2 five week old kittens, so we were able to get worm meds, ear mite solution, and terramycin eye ointment ready for her for her new babies! DeeDee and I have been friends for 14 years. and we love cats. There are kittens looking for homes and many adult cats, too. Please consider opening your home and heart to a kitty or two waiting for someone to care for them and love them!

There were 3 more buckets of Tidy Cat clumpable litter left at the Cat House on Saturday. THANK YOU to whoever sent these...there was no note as to who left these for us! We appreciate this SO much!!

Happy fall to everyone! The Cat House is still in need of Tidy Cat clumping litter in buckets with the gray lid or the aqua colored lid. We try to stock up to last until the end of the year. Can you help us out? We have been lucky to have around 5 people send litter our way, but we go thru it with the 9 residents we have. Also, we still need volunteers to come to show love and attention to the residents. We accept anyone who might need community service hours for school or the court system. If you have an hour to spare, please come to see us!

Wow..Coby and Lisa worked for 3 1/2 hours moving everything in the big cat room to wash the walls from top to bottom. We took a short break to brush the cats and give them Churo treats. Coby even got to pet Calypso, our scardy cat. This is hard work, and I was whooped. Coby is only 20 years old, so he likely didn't feel the after effects like I did...lol. So, the only remaining room left to wash walls is the office. If you have time, come to visit the kitties...they yearn for attention and treat/play time.

Thank you to Jaci and Kevin and kitties, Soup and Alex for two buckets of Tidy Cat clumpable litter!! We would like to stock up to at least 12 buckets to try to last thru the end of 2026. We mix it with low quality litter to make it last. Also, DeDe and Paul dropped off 2 bottles of Clorox bleach as Coby and I will be back at it washing interior walls all day on Saturday. We mix Fabuloso with an odor control liquid specifically for cats with clorox and water. We hand wash the walls from top to bottom before winter arrives. This is hard work, and Mary and Ann did most of it last year. We still ask for volunteers to stop in to play with the cats, brush them, and show them love. They get so lonely and just wait for anyone to stop by. Thank you to all of our volunteers, supporters, and donators. We could not do this without you!!

We are happy to report that one of the 4 month old kittens from the colony of 9 that Mary trapped and Stephanie sponsored the spay/neuter got his FUREVER indoor home with Adam and Danna and their other furry family members. "Georgie" was tame and friendly since Mary, Tony, and April and members of the Oak House played with him every day. Adam and Danna report that when they took him home Sunday night, he fit right in and was playing with their other 4 month old kitten. We have 8 others there, and a few could be indoor pets as they are not 100% feral.
We love outcomes like this! If you would like to join us in our efforts of spay/neuter, volunteering at The Cat House, transportation to vet appts, etc, message us. We need all the help we can get, especially once winter arrives!

It was a great day at The Cat House. Nancy K sent us 2 buckets of Tidy cat clumping litter and 2 bags of Iams dry cat food. Emily sent us a bag of Purina One dry food for sensitive skin and stomach. Next, we were fortunate to have Coby (this is the correct spelling) come all the way from Castalia to help Lisa wash down walls. We worked for 3 1/2 hours and got 1/2 of the walls done (outdoor catio walls, entrance hallway (both sides). The small room has been washed down by Harper and Lisa 2 weeks ago. Coby plans on returning to help finish with the office walls and the main room walls. Miss Wiggles, Ozzie, Oliver, Mr Freddie, Rusty, and Baby Girl all allowed brushing and petting. Of course, Churo squeezable treats were a big hit with the kitties.
Please come to visit the kitties. They wait for people to come to see them and give them love and attention!

On Saturday, Karina, Natalie, and Melanie came to visit the kitties! The kitties are so happy to see anyone who will visit them any time. They even coaxed "Mr Freddie" down off of the tall cat tower where he sleeps when he is not out on the catio catching frogs and dragonflies. The more visitors, the better for our 9 residents. Remember that we accept anyone needing community service hours or hours for school. The Cat House is a peaceful and serene facility with no phones and no computers if you need a break from the rat race of life. You and the cats both benefit! We will be looking for you to come to see us!
