It’s a great day to share a little about who we are, what we do, and why we LOVE doing it!

At Ottawa Residential Services, Inc. (ORSI), we believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable, and comfortable place to call HOME! ❤️

As a nonprofit organization serving Ottawa County, we work to provide quality housing opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, helping create a community where everyone has the opportunity to feel independent, included, and right at home!

🏠 So, what exactly do we do?

🔑 Affordable Housing: We provide a variety of housing options, including single-family homes, shared living arrangements, and accessible apartments.

🛠️ Property Care & Maintenance: Our team helps keep our properties safe and well-maintained, handling everything from repairs to lawn care and snow removal!

🤝 Housing Assistance: We work with rental assistance programs and help connect tenants with available housing resources.

❤️ Community & Independence: We believe a home is more than four walls. It’s a place to build memories, enjoy independence, and feel a sense of belonging!

A lot of what keeps ORSI moving happens behind the scenes — and Chelle Blausey, Director of Business Operations, is a huge part of that. 💙
From financial reporting and vendor billing to tenant accounts, funding compliance, and capital improvement planning, Chelle helps make sure the details are handled so ORSI can stay focused on its mission and the people it serves.
Her role touches so many parts of the organization, and that behind-the-scenes work plays a major part in keeping everything running smoothly day after day.
We’re incredibly grateful to have Chelle’s experience, dedication, and knowledge on the ORSI team. 🏡💙

Meet Stephanie Lowe, our Executive Director, whose dedication helps make Housing with Heart possible. 💙🏡

With 25 years in social services and 18 years at Ottawa Residential Services, Inc., Stephanie has devoted her career to helping people find a place to call home.

From overseeing ORSI and Rose Acre Manor to working with community housing partners, her work reaches far beyond the office. She advocates for safe, affordable housing and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to live with dignity, independence and a sense of belonging.

On September 17, Stephanie received the Ned D. Neuhausel Award at the Ohio Community Development Corporation Association’s 42nd Annual Conference, recognizing her commitment to affordable housing and the people who need it.

This honor is especially meaningful because it bears the name of ORSI’s founding executive director and Stephanie’s mentor. Receiving it celebrates both her own years of service and a legacy she continues to carry forward.

Stephanie, thank you for the hard work that often happens behind the scenes, the compassion you bring to your leadership and your dedication to our community. We are proud to have you leading ORSI and grateful for everything you do. 💙
