Open Up Open Up teaches mindfulness through arts and movement, centering people living with disabilities. Our programs are for everyone!

Open Up, teaches yoga movement and improv mindfulness with many different collaborative partner organizations throughout the region and excels at tailoring these classes for those who benefit from adaptations and modifications of instruction in particular. While yoga and improv are two separate disciplines, they both welcome fun, growth and deeper self-knowledge. Classes in yoga focus on bringing

levity and joy to exercises that focus on wellness with movement and breath. Classes in improv/theater games focus on the social and therapeutic benefits of interactive games. All can be tailored to your family, community and individualized needs!

With the help of a Moonshot Grant from Remake Learning, we’re taking bold steps toward a new future for learning ✨

This year, Open Up launched our Wellness Ambassador Program — helping students and staff learn self-regulation tools while building a culture where it feels normal to support one another in feeling better.

In these photos, a cohort of middle and high school students and their teachers at Steel Valley are teaching 5th graders wellness and regulation tools during an end-of-project celebration 💙

We believe students can be powerful leaders in creating healthier, more connected school communities, and we can’t wait to share more in the coming months.

Open Up and Level Red are collaborating to host Intro to Boxing, an accessible, high-energy class that blends movement, empowerment, and release through guided shadowboxing and mindful recovery. Participants will begin with a gentle warm-up before learning foundational boxing combinations through structured intervals paired with active recovery. Designed to be welcoming and adaptable for all experience levels, the session focuses on building confidence, coordination, and connection through movement.

The experience concludes with a grounding cool down, offering space to reset, regulate, and recharge.

Join Open Up for a sunset rooftop dance party at Field Day on Butler Street, directly across from our studio, as we celebrate Disability Pride Month, summer energy, and the power of creating spaces where everyone belongs.

It's Dance Party season and you're invited!

We're gearing up for two fun-filled Dance Parties — our May Dance Party is right on the horizon on May 29th, and we can't wait to see you there!

We're also giving you all a sneak peak into a larger Dance Party celebration we're planning for June. We want to celebrate everyone who makes this community special, so we're expanding our typical Dance Party and bringing the vibes to Field Day's stunning rooftop! Stay tuned as we roll out more updates — it's a sunny celebration you won't want to miss!
