Peyton’s story is a powerful reminder that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not always accessible.
After earning a cybersecurity degree, Peyton struggled to land an entry-level role due to lack of hands-on experience. Bootcamps with high price tags were not an option, especially as a working mom. Through Per Scholas and our partnership with Cisco Networking Academy, Peyton found no-cost training, hands-on labs, and a supportive community that helped her move forward.

Using tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer and NetAcad resources, Peyton built real-world skills, earned her CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst certification, and secured a role as a Junior Security Engineer. She continues to upskill and stay connected through the alumni community, balancing career growth with her role as a mother.
