Yesterday, October 15, 2026, St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County was proud to participate in the very first Los Medanos Health Area Grantee Poster Showcase! 🌟📊

This inaugural poster session was a special opportunity to highlight how the Los Medanos Health Area Program is actively promoting wellness and expanding vital health resources throughout the Los Medanos service area in East Contra Costa County.

We were also excited and inspired to hear remarks from an incredible lineup of local leaders:

A massive thank you to the incredible Frosh Volunteer group from Carondelet High School! Yesterday, these amazing students brought so much wonderful energy to the St. Vincent de Paul Family Resource Center in Pittsburg to help care for our community.

They immediately jumped into action, splitting up into dedicated teams to tackle several essential projects for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Teams worked hard preparing snack bags and hygiene kits for our neighbors in need experiencing homelessness, as well as sorting and matching clothing to help give a fresh set of clothing to unhoused people. Thanks to their spectacular teamwork, we can easily provide a fresh, clean set of clothing and proper footwear to those who need it most.

We are absolutely blown away by the kindness and compassion these young volunteers showed. Thank you so much to Carondelet High School for your phenomenal support!
