STS Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization, who’s mission is to improve the lives of children and youth in our community through partnerships with schools, parents and community agencies. STS Academy is the recipient of the 21st Century ASSETs grant which may help students succeed in school and in life and provides before and after school Academic Assistance and Enrichment classes. Jim and Delon are
passionate supporters of the cities' children and youth and what they may need to succeed. STS assists in the development of Leadership skills, Fitness and Nutrition, College and Career planning and more! We serve Pittsburg High School and Black Diamond High School students with our Teen Center, located at 60 Civic Avenue (near City Park in Pittsburg, CA) which provides safe afterschool activities for teens, like ping pong, pool, foosball, video games, board games, or space to talk with friends and have an after-school snack. For younger children STS Academy operates The Learning Center with before and after school care for elementary children, with transportation in our fleet of vans to and from
school, and after school homework assistance, games, and recreation. KINDERGARTEN - 8TH GRADE
The Learning Center
The Learning Center is a before and after school care and more program for children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The program includes transportation to school and back to The Learning Center if needed. Also provided is tutoring and homework assistance for children plus an individual success plan. Recreational activities and games complete the day along with meals and snacks. Discounted prices are available. The application form is on our website. The Learning Center is located at 340 Marina Blvd. in Pittsburg.
9TH - 12TH GRADE
Before and After High School Program
The high school program operates through the 21st Century Grant, in cooperation with the Pittsburg Unified School District. STS Academy offers driver's education classes, academic support through homework assistance and tutoring in person and remotely, classes that are fun and practical, health and safety classes, plus special events and a supper meal. We collaborate with other community groups to ensure opportunity for high school youth in 9th-12th grade to enjoy their after-school hours in a socially constructive and safe environment. We are open when Pittsburg and Black Diamond High Schools are in session, and available after school from 3-6pm, M-F. 9TH - 12TH GRADE
The Teen Center
STS Academy's high school program, in cooperation with the City of Pittsburg, sponsors the Teen Center for 9th-12th grade students who attend high schools in the Pittsburg Unified School District. The Teen Center is available from 3-6pm M-F for afternoon fun. You can hang out with your friends, play pool, shoot some hoops, play video games, cards, board games and even show off your artistic skills. Snacks and a supper meal are available.
