The mission of the Chatham Artists Guild, a non-profit, member organization, is to connect our community's artists and arts patrons; provide educa

tional and charitable activities and events to enrich and develop awareness and appreciation of the significance of the visual arts. Guild members strive to:

• Raise awareness and appreciation for the visual arts' cultural and economic contribution to the community.

• Create connections between artists in order to share resources and ideas.

• Educate the community and cultivate new artists and new patrons. It is one of the oldest in the State, a prototype for other area studio tours, and a highly respected art venue. In 2022, we celebrated our 30th Anniversary—30 years of bringing art to the people of North Carolina.

Join us for a reception on Thursday, August 27th, from 5-7 pm, for our latest exhibition at 79°West. Come and meet the four Chatham Artists Guild artists showcasing their latest work and enjoy refreshments and lively conversation. Exhibiting members include painter Susan Baker Cartledge, ceramicist Alina Cochran, ceramicist and jewelry maker Laura Harris and painter and mixed media artist Ruth Parks.

5 Women – 5 Voices is a vivid, tactile conversation—an exploration of the power of feminine force through material practice. It invites viewers to witness how the personal becomes universal, how utility becomes art, and how five distinct voices can rise together in harmony, strength, and purpose.
