🔺Citizen of the Year Award
🔺Our Candy Day and Broom Sale was on Saturday, May 15 at Bob and Lisa’s produce stand. Many thanks to our Lions who worked that day: Lions Lanny Balentine, Mike Hammett, Rick Hankinson, Doug Hood, John Kelly, Johnny Meaders (who worked two shifts), Charlene Spelts, and Jackie Wilder. The total collected was $395.37 of which $232 was from broom sales and $163.37 was in donations.

We have had a strong year of service as the Piedmont Lions Club! We can all be proud of these activities:
Annual Leader Dog Spaghetti Dinner
PERC monetary collection
Donations to Greenville County and Anderson County Meals on Wheels Ongoing funding of eye exams for those in need
Ongoing medical equipment loan program
Providing encouragement cards for our local nursing home
Inaugural Shred Truck day
With other Lions Clubs worldwide, we served in the concerns of hunger, mental health, and environment, while maintaining our club’s distinctive projects. It has been a ROARING good year!!

👍Thank you to Buffalo Cornbread and Jeff and Kathy Kilgore for being such gracious hosts for our monthly meetings. Our annual awards meeting featured our thanks to them and the following Lion Awards: Melvin Jones Fellow, Lion Rick Hankinson; Lion of the Year, Lion Mike Hammett; Leader Dog Tribute Brick, Lion Glenda McAbee, and Meals on Wheels of Anderson and Greenville Counties.
