Mr. Collis Holcombe, 79, of Easley, husband of the late Margie Talley Holcombe, transitioned on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Simpsonville Post Acute. He was a son of the late Ruby Brown.
Surviving: one daughter, Shelia Talley (Mark) Hawkins of Easley, SC two bonus daughters, Jeanette Valentine of Easley, SC and Drusilla (Patrick) Williams of Atlanta, GA; two bonus sons, James Turmon of Anderson, SC and Angelo (Marlena) Talley of Piedmont, SC; one sister, Rose Brown of New York; three brothers, Dr. Charles E. Crite of Roebuck, SC, Lewis Brown of New York and Milton Judge of Piedmont, SC; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, June 7, 2026, 1:00pm Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Comrades and Auxiliary we currently have three members from VFW Post 6734 deceased awaiting services, Comrade Mr. Collis Holcombe, 79, of Simpsonville, transitioned on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Comrade Thurman Norris, 81, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. and Comrade Raymond Salter and I am trying to gain information on Comrade Salter and will post as I learn more.

I wish to thank everyone who showed up last evening at VFW Post 9273 and stepped up to take an office to help further the existence on one of the greatest post in SC over 50 years of serving Veterans and the community surrounding Donaldson Center and Piedmont SC Commander Odom will need everyone's help making 9273 what it should be.
