Our primary goal is preventing pet homelessness, and we aim to do this by keeping families with pets together.

Nearly 40 spay and neuter surgeries in one day 🐾💙

Huge shoutout to The Nagi Foundation and Trusted Paws Veterinary Clinic for helping to make it happen!

Veterinary costs have increased 60% over the past 10 years and are expected to continue to rise. By funding spay and neuter clinics, we help to remove barriers low-income pet owners face in accessing life-saving resources while reducing the number of homeless pets. We are grateful to our partners who help us keep pets happy, healthy, and safely in their homes.

Sometimes the biggest barrier to mental health support is a mandatory pet deposit. HABRI's 2025 report highlighted the real obstacles keeping families from pet companionship: a lack of affordable, pet-friendly housing and accessible veterinary care. On this World Mental Health Day and beyond, we're working to remove those barriers so pets and their families can stay together for the long haul.

The data is in, and it confirms what we see every day: when families lose their pets, it's almost never about love or behavior. It's about rent, bills, and life getting hard all at once.

A new peer-reviewed study found fewer than 1 in 10 rehomings were driven by the animal's behavior. Roughly 90% came down to housing, cost, or personal crisis. It doesn't come down to bad owners. It comes down to hard circumstances and hard circumstances can be solved.

That's why we keep pets and families together. 💙

We started as an animal-welfare organization. Today we deliver food, pay rent for families facing eviction, and put social workers on a homeless shelter's payroll.

That's not us being different. That's what our community needs.

Happy World Animal Day 🐾 Today, we're celebrating the people and partners who help keep pets and families together.

Thank you to every social worker, caseworker, volunteer, and partner helping us drive our mission forward. You're proof that caring for animals and caring for people go hand in hand. 💙

Today is International Day of Non-Violence, and October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

According to ASPCA, nearly 50% of domestic violence survivors delay escape if they can't bring their pets.

For so many people, the path to safety has a door that closes on their dog, their cat, their family. So they stay. And abusers take advantage of it.

This isn't a personal failing. It's a systemic one. Shelters that can't take animals. Housing that won't allow them. Resources that treat pets as an afterthought instead of family.

We're working tirelessly to dismantle those barriers, so that no survivor ever has to choose between their safety and their pet.

For a lot of older adults, their pet is more than a pet. They are who is there in the morning providing stability.

Then something goes wrong, and a fixed income meets an unexpected vet bill. That's the moment we exist for. So a vet visit never has to turn into a goodbye.

The International Day of Older Persons feels like a good day to say it plainly: nobody should outlive their ability to keep the one who keeps them company. 🐾

A good neighbor checks in, shows up, and makes sure no family has to give up their pet just to get by. This National Good Neighbor Day, we're proud to be that for Arizona families and grateful for a community that helps us do it. 🐾💙

When Sarah took Prince in, she knew the Belgian Malinois pup might never see well. Born with a condition that left him with very limited vision, his fear made him reactive and anxious. She brought him home anyway. 💙

Sarah was going through one of the hardest chapters of her own life when she found AZPP and together, we helped Prince get the surgery that gave him back part of his sight.

Today, he greets new people, plays catch by ear, and in Sarah's words, he has a whole new quality of life. 🐾

Our spay/neuter clinic with the The Nagi Foundation at Trusted Paws Veterinary Clinic meant nearly 40 pet parents didn't have to weigh a vet bill against paying for a roof over their heads, food, or other basic needs.

For a lot of the families we work with, that's not a hypothetical. It's a real decision that impacts the human and animal members of the family.

Grateful to The NAGI Foundation and the team at Trusted Paws. 🐾
