Saving Amy, Inc.

Saving Amy, Inc. Phoenix nonprofit: Ending homelessness cycle with holistic family support. 🏡 WHO IS AMY? We are all Amy. Her partner was in prison. Amy had hit rock bottom.

Each one of us is in need of acceptance and the promise of hope. Saving Amy was created to fill the gap for those who need second, third and fourth chances in life. Individuals with “strikes against them”; felonies, addictions, poverty…

Amy, a single mother of four, found herself in a homeless shelter with two of her children. The oldest son was living in a group home and her youngest under the c

are of an aunt in the child protective services system. Drugs and alcohol were her way of coping with an abusive childhood. Amy met volunteer Jennifer Kiernan, founder of Saving Amy. She continued to meet with Jennifer and over time she began to believe that the dream of a new life was also for her and her children. Amy began to see herself as deserving. Amy was connected with a Saving Amy Journey Partner when she left the shelter; someone to walk alongside and connect to resources, provide encouragement and support. Amy became employed and started to feel more confident. Amy participated in the Saving Amy Rise Up Moving Program, which provided her with assistance with household goods, furniture, and move-in costs. Amy’s house became a home. She and her family moved into a better neighborhood with A+ schools. Life started to change for the positive. Amy regularly attends therapy through the Empowerment Through Therapy Program offered by Saving Amy. Therapy has been life-changing for Amy to work through her past trauma. Therapy is necessary for inner transformation to occur and for out-ward life changes to happen. Today, Amy is working, reunited with all of her children, and is living on her own. Her daughter is working and living on her own. Her son is a senior in high school with straight A's and is looking forward to attending college. Amy’s youngest is a carefree 13 year-old.

Making a Difference One Cup at a Time

When most kids think of summer, they think of lemonade stands. One incredible young girl, Harper thought of something that would elevate her stand!

She planned, organized, and ran her very own lemonade stand from start to finish. Then, she chose to donate all of the proceeds to Saving Amy to help support children and families in our community.

Her generosity is a reminder that you’re never too young to make a difference. We are so grateful that she chose Saving Amy and are inspired by her kind heart and giving spirit.

Thank you for showing us that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a big impact.

A big thank you to Boys Team Charity Camelback for helping make our outdoor space even more beautiful, welcoming, and meaningful! 🌿🪴

Their generous support of garden pots, picnic tables, a shade structure, and more has transformed the area into a wonderful place for our Kids Go program participants to play, gather, connect, and enjoy time outdoors. Having a dedicated outdoor space gives our kids another place to build friendships, create memories, and simply have fun together. ☀️🧺

We are so grateful to Boys Team Charity Camelback for investing in our kids and helping us create an environment where they can learn, play, and thrive. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in our community! 💚

We’re excited to share a meaningful milestone for one of the families in our Saving Amy program.

Kendrae is a dad of four, and we’re honored to have helped put him behind the wheel of a vehicle that is now fully paid for. No more car payment means one less monthly expense and a little more room in the family budget for the things that matter most.

We purchased the vehicle from Ivanhoe Auto Sales Broker & Liquidation, and we’re grateful to have been able to make this possible for Kendrae and his family.

This is what we love about our program. It’s not always about the biggest gesture.

Sometimes, it’s about finding a practical way to ease a family’s load and create a little more stability.

Kendrae, we’re proud to walk alongside you and your four kids. Here’s to fewer bills, more breathing room, and many miles ahead. 💛🚗

A car can be so much more than transportation. ❤️🚗

For Sarai and her family of 10, reliable transportation means fewer hours commuting, more time together, and a little more freedom in their daily lives.

With the help of Ivanhoe Auto Sales, Sarai received a vehicle that will make a lasting impact for her family.

With tears in her eyes, Sarai shared, “I have no words.”

Then came a smile and her favorite detail:
“It has AC!” 🥹❄️

A simple feature that brought so much joy and comfort.

We’re grateful to be part of Sarai’s story and thankful for partners who help make moments like this possible 💙

The surprise. The tears. The smiles. The hugs.

When Trishia first moved into her apartment, she and her daughter were sharing a bed because they had no furniture. Today, thanks to the generosity of our incredible volunteers, they have a place to truly call home.
Trishia’s apartment was transformed into a warm, welcoming home thanks to the thoughtful design and care of Janet Livingston and Deanna Koch. Every room was filled with love, creating a space where Trishia and her daughter can rest, heal, and make new memories together.
This transformation would not have been possible without the amazing volunteers who gave their time and hearts to make it happen. You are truly the heartbeat of Saving Amy!

A huge thank you to Boys Team Charity Camelback League for helping make Lashaunda’s move-in so special!
Because of your generosity, hard work, and willingness to serve, an empty apartment was transformed into a warm and welcoming home. Every piece of furniture moved, every box unpacked, and every room prepared helped create a fresh start for a family rebuilding their life.
We would also like to thank The Charro Foundation for their generous grant support of our Rise-Up Program. Their investment helps us continue transforming empty apartments into homes filled with dignity, stability, and hope.
The impact of our partners extends far beyond move-in day. Together, you are helping families build brighter futures and create lasting memories in a place they can finally call home.
Thank you, BTC Camelback League and The Charro Foundation, for helping us change lives. ❤️
