Phoenix heat is serious, and our unsheltered neighbors feel it the most.

Starts With The Heart is launching Heat Relief from June 16 to July 22, and we need volunteers, donated items, and support to help serve people during the hottest part of the summer.

TUESDAYS
Volunteers: 9:30AM to 3:30PM
Guests: 10:30AM to 3:00PM

We’ll be distributing water, hydration supplies, hygiene items, cooling towels, summer clothes, snack bags, dog food, and more.

HUGE NEEDS:
Gatorade powder
Hydration powder
Financial donations to purchase supplies

WEDNESDAYS
E-bike water outreach: 9:00AM to 10:00AM
Prayer and lunch afterward for volunteers.

Pull up, serve, donate, or help us stock the tables.

Every Tuesday is an opportunity to put love into action.

Starts With The Heart is looking for volunteers to serve our community through food support, pantry organization, Hope Women’s Center partnership support, and food distribution for families and individuals in need.

Volunteer opportunities every Tuesday:

Volunteer Support Needed
10:30am–1:30pm
Help unload food deliveries, stock shelves, sort food, organize clothing donations, clean the space, and prepare for distribution.

Hope Women’s Center
2:00pm–5:00pm
Helping connect women and families with resources and support.

Food Pantry Distribution
3:00pm–5:00pm
Help welcome guests and distribute food to families and individuals in our community.

This is a great hands-on service opportunity for individuals, churches, businesses, and groups.

Did you know $50 can help a young person learn leadership through real community service?

This summer, Starts With The Heart’s Learning Lounge is developing 6 youth leaders through service, teamwork, responsibility, and community engagement.

From June 9 through July 28, youth leaders will serve one day per week from 9:30AM to 3:30PM for 8 weeks. They’ll help prepare for Heat Relief, support summer service efforts, and help us get ready for our Back-to-School outreach.

Our goal is to provide each youth leader with a $50 weekly stipend while they grow, serve, and gain real leadership experience.

Sponsorship opportunities:
Sponsor 1 youth for 1 week: $50
Sponsor 1 youth for the summer: $400
Sponsor the full program: $2,400

Last night’s Dinner & Devotional with the City was such a beautiful reminder that community and family happen around the table 🤍

We shared breakfast for dinner, laughter, prayer, and powerful testimony together. It was especially meaningful hearing our sister and brother, Heather and Daniel, share their story and bring hope and encouragement to so many in our community.

Moments like these remind us that healing happens when people feel seen, loved, and connected. Thank you to everyone who came, served, cooked, prayed, and simply showed up for one another.

God keeps providing 🙌

We’re grateful for partners like who are helping us receive fresh food from twice a month to continue serving our community.

These pickups will help support our food pantry, outreach, and even our food truck allowing us to get fresh items into the hands of families who need it most.

It’s a blessing to see how God continues to make a way through people, partnerships, and provision 💛

Huge thank you to for blessing our community with fresh muffins last week 🤍

Simple acts of kindness go such a long way. These muffins became part of conversations, prayers, meals, and moments where people felt seen and cared for. We are so grateful for organizations and people who choose to love our city in practical ways.

Sometimes moms forget that before they were mothers… they were daughters too. 🤍

Today we had the honor of giving some of the mothers in our street community a simple rose, a small reminder that they are still seen, loved, valued, and worthy of kindness.

Motherhood can carry so much pain, sacrifice, strength, and survival. For some, today is beautiful. For others, it’s complicated. But every mother deserves dignity, love, and to know they have not been forgotten.

We’re grateful for every conversation, every hug, every tear, and every smile shared today. 🌹
