Phoenix heat is no joke, and our unsheltered neighbors need real support.

Starts With The Heart is running our Heat Relief Initiative every Tuesday and Wednesday from June 16 through July 22, and we need volunteers, donated items, and partners to help us serve well.

Tuesdays Volunteers: 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Guests: 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Wednesdays E-Bike Water Outreach: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Volunteers are invited to stay afterward for prayer and lunch.

We are collecting: Water, hygiene items, cooling towels, snack bags, summer clothing, dog food, Gatorade powder, and hydration powder.

You can also donate funds so we can purchase what is needed most.

Pull up, bring items, volunteer, donate, or partner with us. This is how we show up for people when the heat is heavy.

Every Tuesday is an opportunity to put love into action.

Starts With The Heart is looking for volunteers to serve our community through food support, pantry organization, Hope Women’s Center partnership support, and food distribution for families and individuals in need.

Volunteer opportunities every Tuesday:

Volunteer Support Needed
10:30am–1:30pm
Help unload food deliveries, stock shelves, sort food, organize clothing donations, clean the space, and prepare for distribution.

Hope Women’s Center
2:00pm–5:00pm
Helping connect women and families with resources and support.

Food Pantry Distribution
3:00pm–5:00pm
Help welcome guests and distribute food to families and individuals in our community.

This is a great hands-on service opportunity for individuals, churches, businesses, and groups.

Phoenix heat is serious, and our unsheltered neighbors feel it the most.

Starts With The Heart is launching Heat Relief from June 16 to July 22, and we need volunteers, donated items, and support to help serve people during the hottest part of the summer.

TUESDAYS
Volunteers: 9:30AM to 3:30PM
Guests: 10:30AM to 3:00PM

We’ll be distributing water, hydration supplies, hygiene items, cooling towels, summer clothes, snack bags, dog food, and more.

HUGE NEEDS:
Gatorade powder
Hydration powder
Financial donations to purchase supplies

Student Union Camp was full of memories, connection, and joy.

Starts With The Heart was honored to provide food for the Talent Show that helped raise support to send students to camp. Seeing these youth laugh, build friendships, and experience something meaningful reminds us why community support matters.

We’re getting ready to launch the Starts With The Heart Mobile Clothing Unit, and we need the community with us.

This RV is being converted into a mobile clothing closet so we can bring clothing, shoes, hygiene items, school uniforms, and essentials directly to families, neighborhoods, outreach events, shelters, and people in need.

We are looking for donors, partners, volunteers, sponsors, skilled trade help, materials, and people willing to help us get this unit on the road.

Yesterday, Tony reached out because he had just started a new job and transportation was becoming a real challenge.

He was trying to figure out how he was going to get back and forth to work, and we were grateful that Damian and I were able to show up later that same day with an e-bike through our partnership with City Serve at GCU.

But this post is really about Tony.

We’re honored to see him fighting the good fight, stepping into this new opportunity, and continuing to move forward. He matters. His future matters. And sometimes support looks like showing up at the right time and reminding somebody they’re not alone.

Later, Tony messaged us and said he loved the bike, that it rides smoothly, and that it will be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

This is what partnership makes possible. When people give, serve, and stand with us, real needs get met and real people are encouraged.
