Surge Surge exists to reconcile, equip, and activate God’s people in order to put Jesus on display.

The Surge Network is a movement of multi-ethnic church leaders from theologically diverse church backgrounds committed to friendship, God's mission, and the flourishing of our local communities. Reconcile - Surge creates space to build and nurture relationships across denominational, socioeconomic, and ethnic lines. Equip - Surge identifies effective tools to equip gospel-centered, missional congr

egations. Activate - Surge commissions disciples to foster collaboration with neighbors to seek the welfare of the city. How do you want to see the world change as a result of the work you do?

- Churches organized around holistic discipleship
- Disciples imitating a Kingdom of God ethic by establishing restorative communities through their work, home, and rest
- The city drawn to Jesus by the visible witness of his people

How do we behave? As leaders, we use a BLESS framework to guide our fellowship and Christian practice:

Bless - We seek to be a God-like presence everywhere we go. Listen - We cultivate disciplines that help us relate deeply to God and to others. Eat - We share intentional meals with each other and those different from us. Speak - We use our words to sow seeds of peace and spread the gospel of the kingdom. Sabbath - We set aside a day to rest in God and deepen communion with others.

A Note from the Surge Executive Team

After 15 years of faithful leadership, service, and friendship, Aaron Daily is stepping away from his role at Surge.

Aaron has played a significant part in shaping our network, investing in leaders, serving the Church, and helping guide Surge through many seasons. His impact will be felt for years to come, and we are deeply grateful for all he has given.

While we will miss him in this role, we celebrate this next chapter for Aaron and his family and pray God’s blessing over all that lies ahead.

Surge’s mission remains strong, and our Executive Team will continue leading and serving the network as we move forward together.

Thank you, Aaron. We are grateful for your leadership, your friendship, and your lasting contribution to Surge.

What does it mean to see immigrants not as outsiders, but as essential contributors to the Kingdom of God?

In this powerful conversation, Aaron Daly sits down with Deenbo Kidane, leader of the Daniel Initiative, pastor, mother, and advocate for immigrant communities. Together, they explore the unique gifts immigrant churches bring to the American Church, including resilience, prayer, faith, generosity, and deep-rooted relationships — and why those gifts are needed now more than ever.

We sat down with Jeremy Jernigan to talk about life on the margins of certainty, the tension many leaders feel with the modern Church, and what it means to remain rooted without losing honesty. In a cultural moment where more people feel caught between belonging and disillusionment, Jeremy’s new book, On the Edge of the Inside, gives language to the spaces many of us quietly inhabit.

One question that especially resonated with our team at Surge Network was this:

“What does it mean to live ‘on the edge of the inside’ without becoming cynical toward the inside?”

In our new episode of The Surge Podcast, we flip the script as John Talley III joins us on the other side of the mic to share his story and vision for the Church in our city.

John, a father, a pastor, professor, and self-described “servant trying to tell everybody about somebody who can save anybody,” invites us into the heart behind Neighbor’s Table, an initiative of Surge Network focused on mobilizing believers to love their neighbors in real, tangible ways.
