As we approach the one-year anniversary of the 2025 flooding in Globe, AZ, the harrowing survival story of U.S. Marine Corps veteran David Hayes Sr, whose RV was swept away with him in it, has now become an inspirational example of how your kindness allows The Salvation Army to help people recover no matter how dark the days. Thank you!❤️

We are so grateful for community partner FOX 10 Phoenix for shining their spotlight on the stories of redemption occurring in the wake of such devastation.

Saved from rising floodwaters in Globe, veteran David Hayes Sr. credits faith, family, and community support for his recovery.

Twenty-five years later, we remember how The Salvation Army stood alongside first responders and survivors of 9/11 at Ground Zero, the Pentagon and Shanksville, offering care and loving support during an unimaginable time.

The small acts of kindness offered during that time helped carry people through incalculable grief. Today, we honor that legacy by continuing to show up for Americans in need.

Ministry does not always happen inside a building. ❤️

Throughout the week, The Salvation Army Hobbs Corps & Community Center takes its Street-Level Ministry into surrounding communities, offering food boxes, access to showers, and compassionate support to people along the way.

By meeting people where they are, the Hobbs team helps provide practical assistance and reminds every person they serve that they are seen and cared for.
