Charity Storage utilizes existing storage facility operations to raise funds to support charities throughout the United States.

Charity Storage is an independent 501(c)3 national self storage industry nonprofit that is supported by many self storage owners, operators, management companies, industry associations, organizations, and vendors. Donated and abandoned items are placed into a vacant unit and the contents are auctioned off onsite or online, via StorageTreasures.com or other online auction platforms. Operators online with StorageTreasures.com can opt-in via their account dashboard today and start selling charity units immediately. "Our teams are genuinely proud of the impact that they're making that's all tied to their day-to-day work functions. And that impact is meaningful."

When NSA Self Storage piloted Charity Storage across 50+ facilities, the question was simple: could it become part of how they operate without adding extra work? Michael Hall (VP Operations) walks through how it integrated seamlessly and why his teams embraced it from day one.

Behind every name is a story. Family Heirloom Storage lives up to theirs.

We're proud to welcome this family-owned operator to the Charity Storage program. As they grow from 27 to more than 40 locations across the Southeast, they're supporting the Donald R. Tyree Foundation, a cause close to home.

The foundation honors the father of one of Family Heirloom's founders, Don Tyree. A Kentucky coal miner's son, Donald R. Tyree left school after the tenth grade and worked 35 years in a factory to give his children a better life. He believed education was the one gift that could never be taken away, and that belief lives on through the students and schools his foundation supports.

Now, every charity auction at a Family Heirloom facility helps carry that legacy forward.
