🤝 What Does a Community Partnership Really Mean?

At Jacinths Homeless Foundation (JHF Charity), partnership means more than receiving free products, donations, or services.

A true partnership is a two-way relationship where organizations work together toward a shared goal and bring value to the table.

That may look like sharing resources, making community connections, volunteering, collaborating on events, providing professional expertise, referring individuals to appropriate services, promoting each other’s initiatives, or developing programs together.

We’re grateful for donations, but we also want to build lasting relationships—not transactional ones.

As JHF Charity continues to grow, we’re looking for businesses, nonprofits, churches, agencies, and community leaders interested in creating meaningful impact together.

We are growing, and we’re looking for committed individuals who are ready to bring more than just their name to a board.

We’re seeking board members who can bring experience, ideas, resources, professional expertise, and strong community connections to help JHF Charity continue expanding its impact.

We’re especially interested in individuals with backgrounds or connections in areas such as:

• Community outreach & partnerships
• Housing & homelessness services
• Business & entrepreneurship
• Finance & fundraising
• Healthcare & social services
• Legal & compliance
• Marketing & communications
• Youth development & education

COMMUNITY QUESTION 💛

What does “help” actually look like?

Sometimes it’s paying a bill.
Sometimes it’s providing food.
Sometimes it’s giving someone a ride.
Sometimes it’s sharing a resource.
And sometimes it’s simply answering the phone when somebody feels like they have nowhere else to turn.

At Jacinths Homeless Foundation, we’ve learned that you don’t have to solve every problem to make a difference. Sometimes helping with ONE piece of the puzzle gives someone enough breathing room to handle the next.

So we want to hear from you:

“What Happens Before a Food Box Reaches a Family?”

When you see a food box, you see the finished product. But there’s a lot of community work that happens before that box ever reaches a family. 💛

Behind the scenes, nonprofits are building partnerships, locating food resources, coordinating transportation and storage, organizing volunteers, checking what families actually need, and finding safe places for distribution.

For Jacinths Homeless Foundation, fighting food insecurity isn’t just about handing someone a box—it’s about building relationships and creating sustainable ways to serve our community.

We may not always have every resource someone needs, but we will continue doing the work, building partnerships, sharing resources, and finding ways to strengthen the community around us.

This picture says so much about what many families are experiencing right now.

Sometimes “making it” doesn’t look the way we imagined it would.

Maybe the dream was a bigger home, a newer car, savings in the bank, and plenty of room to breathe. But right now, making it might look like keeping the car running, keeping food on the table, keeping the lights on, and finding a way to make everything fit.

And there is NO shame in that.

At Jacinths Homeless Foundation, we understand that hardship doesn’t always look like someone standing on a street corner. Sometimes it looks like a working parent whose paycheck still isn’t enough. Sometimes it’s choosing which bill gets paid first. Sometimes it’s living one unexpected expense away from a crisis.

If you’re in a season where life looks different from what you pictured, keep going. Your current circumstances are a chapter, not your entire story. 💛

And when you’re in a position to help someone else, remember that a little compassion can go a very long way.

We were saddened to learn that we could not move forward with a partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank because we do not own or operate from a permanent facility.

Unfortunately, this is a common barrier for many small nonprofit organizations. Purchasing or maintaining a building is simply not financially possible for many organizations doing important work in their communities.

However, we are happy to share that other organizations have reached out about potential partnerships that may allow us to receive food and continue serving families throughout Arizona. We are grateful that one closed door may be leading us to another opportunity. 💚

Community support is about more than handing someone a resource — it’s about helping people feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are not alone. 💛

At Jacinths Homeless Foundation, our work continues to focus on connecting families and individuals with resources, food support, youth opportunities, and pathways toward greater stability.

We may not be able to solve every problem, but we believe every connection, referral, meal, partnership, and act of kindness matters.
