When temperatures rise, having trusted community resources close to home matters.

Cholla Library serves as a local cooling center in the Metro District, offering residents a safe, accessible place to cool off during Arizona’s hottest days. As summer heat continues, we’re grateful for spaces like our neighborhood library that help support the health, comfort, and well-being of our community.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and take advantage of local heat relief resources when needed.

🚔 A major investment in public safety is moving forward in north Phoenix.

Plans for a new Cactus Park Precinct continue to advance, replacing the current aging facility with a modern police precinct designed to better support officers, improve operations and meet the needs of one of Phoenix's fastest-growing areas. The project will be built on the former Fry's Electronics site near 31st Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

City leaders moved forward with plans for a new Cactus Park Precinct for Phoenix Police where the former Fry’s Electronics building used to be.

As infrastructure work continues at the former Metrocenter site, we’re excited for the next chapter of this transformative redevelopment to come to life. Once this important groundwork is complete, The Metropolitan will move one step closer to bringing new housing, retail, and long-term investment to the Metro District and surrounding community.

Something new is rising in Phoenix. 🐦‍🔥

PHX Met Con is the next chapter in the story that began with Superhero Saturday — a curated, family-friendly event bringing together fans, families, cosplayers, artists, exhibitors, food trucks, first responders, local leaders, and community partners for a day built around community impact.

Momentum continues at The Metropolitan.

Concord Wilshire has announced a homebuilder transition for the project, with a new builder expected to be named in the coming weeks. The vision for The Metropolitan remains strong, with planning moving forward toward the next phase of construction in 2027. This transformative redevelopment continues to represent new housing, investment, and long-term opportunity for the Metro District community. 🏘️
