It is with the heaviness of heart and great sadness we share with you the passing of Fr. John Large. Fr. Large very much loved the people of St. Anselm and the people of his many assignments serving in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. May you rest in the eternal peace of Christ for a life well lived, well loved and dedicated to the service of Jesus and His Church. May his family, friends and we who knew and loved Fr. Large know God’s comfort and strength in our mourning.

When details become available for Fr. Large’s funeral, we will share them with you.

Please join us in lifting up Reverend John Large in fervent prayer. Father Large has transitioned to hospice care at Villa St. Joseph and is resting comfortably. We ask our community of faith to come together and pray that the Lord grants him divine peace, comfort, and grace during this sacred time. Let us also pray for his loved ones and the caregivers ministering to him. Thank you for your steadfast faith and prayers for Father Large. May God bless him and keep him in His tender care. 🙏✨

Thank you to everyone who came out today to volunteer for this month’s St. Paul Homeless Ministry Outreach! We assembled and distributed lunches to those in need throughout Center City Philadelphia.
