On July 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to noon, the 38th annual Liberty Medal ceremony will take place outside the National Constitution Center. The National Constitution Center will be honoring His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and reflect on how America’s founding ideals of freedom of religion, freedom of thought, and freedom of expression continue to resonate globally. The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus – also the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests – is celebrated on the Friday after the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. This suggests to us that the Eucharist (Corpus Christi) is none other than the Heart of Jesus himself, of the One who “takes care of us” with his “heart”.

“Divine Heart of Jesus,
I offer you through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Mother of the Church,
in union with the Eucharistic Sacrifice,
my prayers, actions, joys and sufferings of this day
in reparation for sins and for the salvation of all people,
in the grace of the Holy Spirit for the glory of the Heavenly Father.
Amen.”

Thank you to everyone who attended this evening’s Sacred Heart of Jesus - Holy Hour & Adoration! The consecration was led by members of the St. Paul Parish Young Adult Ministry and the Brothers of the Knights of Columbus San Salvador Council #283. Beautiful music was provided by our music ministry.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart:
“O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
living and quickening source of eternal life,
infinite treasure of the Divinity,
and burning furnace of divine love,
You are my refuge and my sanctuary.
O my amiable Savior,
consume my heart with that burning fire
with which Your Heart is ever inflamed;
pour down on my soul those graces
which flow from Your love;
and let my heart be so united with Yours
that our wills may be one,
and that mine may be
entirely conformed to Yours.
May Your divine will be equally the standard
and rule of all my desires and of all my actions.
Amen.”
