You're invited! Celebrate CSFP grads and help us kick off the 2022-2023 scholarship application season on Tuesday, Sept. 14! CSFP will officially open its K-8 scholarship application for next school year. Join us to count down to this application launch, and celebrate our outgoing 8th grade class of 2021 with this special virtual event.

Camp Connections is back in session this summer! This year, CSFP's academic summer camp program at no-cost to families has expanded to include 1st and 2nd graders along with 3rd through 8th grade students for access to summer enrichment programs. Through Camp Connections, CSFP families could choose from fun and exciting in-person or virtual summer courses and programs for their children with SummerSessions from Friends Select School, PrepU at St. Joseph's Prep, Summer Adventures at Hill Top Preparatory School, and Summer Enrichment Academy at La Salle University. We are so thankful to all of CSFP's partners who have made another Camp Connections summer session possible for CSFP families! CSFP Reads, our quarterly book club for 3rd-5th grade CSFP students, hosted the first 2021 virtual meeting this past Saturday to discuss "The Turtle of Oman" by Naomi Shihab Nye. Here are some book discussion highlights:

When students were asked how they would feel if their families moved to a new country like the main character of the book, Lily (3rd grade) said, "I would be a little happy but a little nervous, since my friends are all in America." Cydney (5th grade) took a different perspective on rising to the occasion, sharing, "I would like to speak a new language." Joshua (5th grade) summed it up best when he said, "The book was just about change, and how it is to change to a different place."

Thank you to the volunteers from the Drexel University chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, who made the meeting engaging and fun.
