The Union Baptist Church (UBC) is a historic congregation that partnered with artist/neighbor Meei Ling Ng to develop a garden (UBC Garden of Eden) that provides fresh organic produce to the neighborhood community refrigerators.

OH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MOOOOOORRRRNING 🎶 We are surely enjoying this cool sunny weather, and apparently the garden is, too. Our kales and collards are perfect and prolific, the raspberries are ripening, and everything is coming along. ☀️❤️🌳🥬

You may have noticed that our fig tree got a major haircut. Our friends from the Philadelphia Orchard Project (POP) came by with their fig pruning specialist. It looks drastic but will be very beneficial. Last year a big branch broke off from the trunk so it was needed. Thanks, POP!

A brisk and breezy work morning! We’re still preparing the raised beds: adding new top soil and compost, etc. But the tulips blossomed! We received some lovely starts of lettuce, broccoli, and kale. Not in the ground yet, but soon. 🥬 🌷 🍒 💨
