This Saturday, Executive Director Keri Salerno represented Uplift at DVLF's TOY 2023, an LGBTQ+ holiday celebration and fundraiser. Uplift received an Emergent Needs Grant from DVLF for our Q***r and Trans Youth Services (QTYS), in which LGBTQ+ youth who are grieving a death can be supported and validated in their grief while receiving safety, comfort, and acceptance from LGBTQ+ peers, group facilitators, and trusted adults. QTYS includes both groups for youth aged 11 to 13 who are accompanied by a trusted adult already in their lives, and groups for youth 14 and older.
