Hunting Park South

As part of PWD’s project 50326, Hunting Park South, PWD, DPH, and OTIS applied for a grant from the state’s DCED Multimodal Transportation Fund to complete sidewalks between PWD’s stormwater investments along W Lycoming St at the edge of the park. PWD received $750,000, which will fund new sidewalks along the length of W Lycoming St from Old York Road to N 9th St (including the preservation of healthy oaks along the edge of the park). PWD is working with DPH to assess opportunities to support future grant requests for sidewalk upgrades along N 9th St and Roosevelt Blvd. PWD is hopeful that this new sidewalk will make it easier for residents to walk and reduce trash accumulation at the park’s edge.
