Austin people, if you need a seriously talented handyman/remodel contractor, I can personally recommend Sergio without hesitation.
Over the last year, he’s been handling projects across all of the Hensley Houses and I can honestly say he’s one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met.
And somehow… his pricing is unbelievably reasonable.
I’ve consistently seen his quotes come in at HALF of what many contractors charge, sometimes even less, while still delivering incredibly high-quality work.

Self can’t fix self.
How many years did I try? How many strategies, plans, breakdowns? The answer wasn’t more effort it was surrender.
Recovery isn’t about self-help. It’s about the death of self. Connection over isolation. Power over willpower. Love over ego.
Pause. Pray. Call someone. Tell the truth. Trust Good.
You were never meant to do this alone. 🤍

🌅 Morning Reflection – The Old Way Must Perish

🙏 Opening Prayer
Thank You, Creator, for another chance to wake up and walk a new path.
Thank You for the reminders that freedom doesn’t come from self-focus.
Today, help me loosen my grip on my old ways.
Let me stop asking, “What do I need?”
And instead begin asking, “How can I help?”
Let me become useful—willing to give, to serve, and to love.

🌀 Reflection
Recovery begins when self-centeredness ends.
The old life—driven by fear, pride, control, and constant self-concern—must perish for freedom to live.
We don’t recover by focusing on ourselves. We recover by becoming part of something bigger.
Other-centeredness isn’t martyrdom—it’s transformation.
It’s a daily spiritual practice of listening to others, showing up, being of service, and turning outward instead of inward.
When we get out of self, we find God.
When we give, we are given to.
When we serve, we are set free.
Ask yourself:
• Who in my life needs encouragement, support, or simply presence today?
• Where am I being called to step out of myself and show up for others?

🧘 Pause for Meditation
Set a 10–15 minute timer.
As you breathe, gently repeat:

Thank You for the clarity that my recovery is not just about me.
Help me release the need to be the center.
Help me focus on being of maximum usefulness to You and the people around me.
Let me be a vessel of love, not a prisoner of self.
May I meet this day with open hands and a willing heart.
Amen.
