🏕️ Camping Recap: Dirt, Laughter, and fun adventures🏕️

This weekend’s campout had everything: fresh air permanently embedded in our clothes, and Scouts who somehow had endless energy until bedtime.

We cooked, we learned, we explored, and yes—we survived the very long hikes. Tents were pitched (mostly straight), the pack shared an amazin meal, and everyone discovered that snacks taste 10x better when eaten outdoors. There were new skills learned, friendships strengthened, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Huge shout-out to the Scouts for their enthusiasm and teamwork, and to the leaders who kept everything running smoothly while pretending they were totally prepared the whole time 😉.

Again congratulations to our AOLs for your amazing accomplishment of crossing over. Good luck with your new adventures at the troop level.

Another campout in the books—and a whole lot of great memories made.

We’re so proud of our AOLs for crossing over after an awesome, action-packed camp experience! 🏕️🔥

You worked hard, tried new things, and showed leadership every step of the way. Through camp experiences, challenges, and teamwork, these Scouts have grown in confidence, skills, and leadership.

Crossing over marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of an exciting new adventure. We can’t wait to see where Scouting takes you next—keep exploring, learning, and leading the way!

A huge shout-out to Troop 685 and 408 for welcoming our Scouts. Your guidance and support truly made this crossover special.

Tonight, some of our Bear, Webelos, and AOL Scouts — along with our friends from Troop 685 — had the incredible opportunity to serve at Feed My Starving Children.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to providing nutritious, specially formulated meals to malnourished children around the world. Volunteers hand-pack meals that are shipped to schools, orphanages, and clinics in more than 70 countries — bringing hope and nourishment to children who need it most.

We are so proud of our Scouts for living out the Scout Oath and Law through service to others. Their hard work tonight resulted in 62,424 meals packed — enough to feed 171 children for an entire year!

Beyond the numbers, this was a memorable, hands-on experience for our Scouts. They worked together, learned about global hunger, and saw firsthand how even a few hours of service can make a tangible impact around the world.

Way to go, Pack 685 and Boy Scout Troop 685 - Pflugerville, Texas! Thank you for showing what it means to help other people at all times. 💙🌎

For 116 years, Scouting America has helped shape young people into leaders of character through service, outdoor adventure, and a commitment to doing their best. Today we celebrate the values of Scouting—service, leadership, and character—and give thanks for our Scouts and leaders who live out these principles every day. We’re grateful for their commitment to helping others and making our community stronger.

Tonight our Webelos Den had a special guest — Pflugerville Mayor Doug Weiss — who stopped by to help our scouts work on the “My Community” Adventure.

This adventure is all about being a good citizen. Our scouts learned about different types of voting, how leaders are elected, and how local government serves the community. Mayor Weiss did an outstanding job breaking it down in a way the scouts could understand and enjoy.

Mayor Weiss generously volunteered his Friday evening to educate our scouts, field their many great questions, and share how civic leaders can give back to the community.

👏 Thank you, Mayor Weiss, for an engaging discussion and for showing our scouts the many ways they can be active, involved citizens in Pflugerville!
