🌟 Your warmth can make a world of difference! 🌟 Our annual coat drive is still in full swing, and we’re calling on our incredible community to help those in need. ⁠

Is your organization seeking opportunities to give back to the community? Show your support by setting up a collection bin for Neighborhood House’s annual Coat Giveaway to help spread the warmth!⁠

Neighborhood House will supply collection bins, while your organization will act as a designated collection site. The collection period is set for September 1, 2026, through October 16, 2026.⁠

We accept new and gently used coats, outerwear, scarves, hats, gloves, even socks. We are especially in need of outerwear for infants, youth, and larger sizes such as 4XL and 5XL. Neighborhood House will schedule pick-ups as bins become full.⁠

Flashback Friday: Center's Debt Is Wiped Out — Mortgage Burning, 1943 🔥📜 What a moment! With officers, board members, and friends gathered around, we burned the mortgage on our building — free and clear at last. Our own Neighborhood House Women's Club had raised $2,000 toward the building fund through sewing and quilting alone. A true community effort, paid off by a true community. 💛

🔔 Friendly reminder! Neighborhood House will be closed this Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day — which means no programs and no meal delivery on Monday.

🍽️ Meals on Wheels clients: don't worry, we've got you covered! We will be including a bonus meal on Friday, September 5th that you can save for Monday. 😊

We'll be back open on Tuesday, September 8th — enjoy the long weekend! 🛠️🇺🇸
