📢 Unit Leaders: Please take a few minutes to review and update your BeAScout Unit Pin information.

BeAScout recently launched an updated experience for prospective families, including new details such as meeting schedules, unit fees, fundraising information, and more. Keeping your Unit Pin up to date helps families find accurate information and connect with your unit.

Remind Unit Leaders To Update BeAScout

On August 3, BeAScout introduced an updated look and feel designed to better support prospective families. The enhanced experience provides answers to common questions before families contact a unit, including estimated cost to join, unit meeting days and times, and whether the unit charges additional dues.

To support these improvements, several new fields have been added to the Unit Pin page in Organization Manager: Fundraising Helps Cover Costs, Trial Visit Encouraged, and Unit Fee. Meeting Schedule, Meeting Frequency, Meeting Day, Start Time, End Time.

Unit leaders can update these fields within their Unit Pin settings.

Please share this information with your unit leaders and encourage them to complete these updates to ensure their unit details are accurate and fully displayed in the updated BeAScout experience.

Crossroads District is proud to announce another new Eagle Scout! Caleb Z. of Lincoln Troop 1102, chartered at St. John United Church of Christ, passed his Eagle board this evening! For his project, Caleb built ten benches for Kickapoo Creek Park where hikers can rest on their treks. Well done, Caleb!

Today we recognize three new Eagle Scouts from Crossroads District! Parker H., Theo M., and Aiden N., all from Colfax Troop 2019, sponsored by Scouting Support Inc, passed their boards of review today.
For his project, Parker laid Astroturf in the outdoor dog runs at Humane Society of Central Illinois. For his project, Theo laid new brick around the remembrance garden in the Village of Arrowsmith. For his project, Aiden took down the old sign in front of the Humane Society of Central Illinois, and replaced it with added landscaping. All three young men did an outstanding job!

It’s time to recognize another new Crossroads District Eagle Scout! Congratulations to Jacob H. from Troop 876 in Pontiac, chartered by First Baptist Church of Pontiac. For his project, Jacob built and installed a food pantry and little free library for Salvation Army Pontiac 360 Life Center, added a bench, and landscaped the area. What a great addition, Jacob!
