Because modern construction and renovation often remove or seal the cracks and gaps where swifts once nested, UK swift numbers have fallen by around 60% or more since the mid-1990s.

Swift bricks can be installed without compromising insulation when properly designed, cost very little to add, and help give these Red-listed urban birds a place to nest again.
