Camp Kearney is still looking to fill two temporary summer positions. Both positions will be from June 8th- July 24th.


Health and Wellness Specialist:
Assist campers with daily medication distribution, handling camper/staff bumps & bruises, upset stomachs, and supporting an occasional homesick camper

Children Education Leader:
Lead two 45-minute chapels on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays, prepare four nightly devotions for each camp counselor to lead each night with their cabin, as well as general help to the operation of the daily summer camp program and camper support

TONIGHT is our youth's flag football game at Peoria Stadium at 5:30PM! If they win tonight they will play in the championship on Friday!

We wish them good luck and pray they stay undefeated!

South Side Mission’s Youth Ministry Peoria Chiefs are undefeated (6-0) and are entering the playoffs for the first time in program history! We are very proud of our team and coaching staff (Mr. Jerron Brown) for making it this far.

We are asking South Side Mission parents, staff, and friends to please support us in our quest to win the Flag Football Championship. The playoffs will be at Peoria Stadium on Wednesday (5/20) at 5:30 P.M. Friday 5/22 is the championship game. We hope to see you there!

Camp Kearney needs YOUR help!
We need items for our campers this summer! Below is a list of items that can be donated to Camp Kearney this summer.

Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, combs, etc.)
Bug spray
Sunscreen
Bedding (sleeping bags, sheets, blankets, pillows, pillowcases)
Board/Card games (checkers, uno, flip 7, beat the heat, card decks)
Yard games (corn hole, ladder golf, bean bag tic/tac/toe, etc.)
Arts and Crafts supplies (acrylic paint, brushes, markers, crayons packs, etc.)
Sports equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, volley balls, kickballs, etc.)

If you would like to donate, please drop off items at 1127 S Laramie St., Peoria, IL 61605 and if you don't have any items that can be donated and want to make a monetary donation, please go to www.southsidemission.org/donate and tribute the donation to Camp Kearney.
